Huge Disappointment over Haye Injury

Everyone loves to see the heavyweights fight!

Their sheer size always bring an element of anticipation, to the ring, other weights don’t quite match.

Therefore, the news that broke this week relating to David Haye having to pull out of his heavyweight bout with Manuel Charr, was probably the most disappointing news of the week.

Haye, now on the comeback trail having gotten back his BBBC license, is eager for a second crack at one of the Klitschko brothers and beating the 28 year-old Lebanon-born German could well have opened up a route to one of the current world champions.

But those plans, rather disappointingly, have had to be put on hold with Haye picking up a hand injury preventing the clash, scheduled for 29th June at the Manchester Arena, from taking place.

A disappointed Haye had this to say about the situation,

I'm absolutely gutted to have to pull out of this fight.'

I need to rest it up for at least four weeks. I pick up injuries now and again in training, and sometimes carry them into fights, but this was one I simply couldn't recover from in time.”

I apologise to Manuel Charr and to everybody involved with the promotion. But most of all I want to say sorry to the thousands of fans who bought tickets to the fight. I felt it was important to let them know about the cancellation as soon as possible, so they can now make other plans.”

'As soon as I am told I can resume full training, my loyal fans will be the first to know.'

Although it is hoped that the fight can be rescheduled, nothing is definite, therefore we await further news of David Haye’s comeback finally getting underway.
