Eubank Junior in Action Again

This Saturday, one of the chief supporting bouts, down at Bluewater, on the show that James DeGale headlines, witnesses the return to action of Chris Eubank Junior.

Eubank hasn’t fought since December, last year, and will be looking to make his record 10 wins in 10 fights when he takes on Tyan Booth

Any bout that has Eubank connections will always generate interest and whilst Eubank Junior doesn’t have the flamboyant dress sense of his father, his slick boxing skills bring entertainment value to any promotion.

Whilst Eubank Senior will no doubt be in attendance, cheering his son on, Eubank Junior will be looking to earn a stoppage, against Booth, with his an array of combination punching that will confuse and dispirit his opponent.

Eubank Junior, with this being his 10th fight, has improved with every outing and somebody who knows all about nurturing a future world champion, having done the business with Eubank Senior, is Ronnie Davis.

Davis, having watched Eubank Junior in action in the gym, has waxed lyrical about the twenty-three year old emulating his father and becoming a world champion, remarking to the media,

“He is looking brilliant in sparring and even though this is short notice, he’s always fit and he’s always sparring regularly.”

“He is looking very powerful. He is getting stronger and stronger, maturing well. He is punching hard and looking very good.”

“He will be, in my opinion, a world champion.”

Well there’s no beating about the bush there is there!

But whilst Davis foresees glory for Eubank Junior, I find it strange that it has, after a burst of quick fights, taken the youngster so long to climb back through the ropes with this, as we mentioned earlier, his first fight since December 2012.

Eubank Junior, speaking about his long awaited return had this to say on the eve of the fight,

“After not fighting for that amount of time, I’m dying to get back in the ring to show exactly what I am made of.”

And we’re dying to see you display your array of skills Eubank Junior.

As for a prediction, I reckon Eubank Junior has the tools to make this a decent nights work, earning a stoppage in four rounds, but whether I’m right or not we’ll have to wait until tomorrow night to see!
