Time to Step Up In Class

They promised to keep Hughie Fury active and that is proving to be case.

Hughie, now coming off of a record that reads 11-0 with 6 by way of knockout, will be fighting this Friday against David Gegeshidze, who is coming off of a record of 10-4-1 with 2 by knockout.

The fight is scheduled to take place over six rounds at the City Academy Sports Centre, in Bristol.

Judging by his record Gegeshidze doesn’t appear to be a heavy puncher and it looks as if the fight has been made to ensure Hughie keeps that winning streak.

However, there is a huge amount of disappointment in the air about the opponent selected.

It wasn’t that long ago that Hughie Fury proudly predicted that he’d become the youngest ever heavyweight champion of the world beating the record that is held by the legend that is Mike Tyson.

Now, as we all know, Mike Tyson became champion of the world at the tender age of twenty when he stopped Trevor Berbick after a rampage through all those put in front of him.

In my view Hughie Fury needs to test himself more otherwise he’ll be lucky to have even experienced a European title tilt by the age of 20 let alone a world title fight!
