'If It's Boxing, It's Vital'

Wilder Wants Fury Unification Bout!

It’s the match up that just has to be made.

Boxing politics needs to be put to one side, mandatory defences and re-matches need to be forgotten, we need to see Tyson Fury take on Deontay Wilder with the winner emerging as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, the owner of all the belts and firmly established as a superstar.

Deontay Wilder certainly seem sup for it, immediately after Tyson Fury had been announced as the WBA, IBF and WBO champion, the brash American tweeted that he was coming for Fury.

Furthermore, in an interview with the BBC, Wilder has indicated he’d be prepared to come to the UK for the fight, with the WBC champion remarking,

'I want that fight to happen as soon as possible.

I've got to fight someone in January and after that fight I would love to have a unification bout - and guess what, I wouldn't mind coming to the UK for that one.

'No matter where it might be, I want to be the undisputed champion of the world.'

Continuing, Wilder stated that he wanted to be the undisputed world champion, emulating the feats of Lennox Lewis who was, back in 2000, the last undisputed heavyweight champion the world has had, further adding,

'We haven't had an undisputed champion in I can't remember how long and I want to be the first name to bring the belts back together and heavyweight boxing back to its full potential.

'Next year is going to be a great year for me, regardless. Everything is falling in our plan, our time and our planning for what we want to do.'

Let’s just get it on shall we!
