'If It's Boxing, It's Vital'

29th October IS the Day!

After the original re-match between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko was postponed due to the champion (Fury) suffering an injury, fight-fans have been waiting for the two to get it together again.

It seems an age since Tyson Fury wrestled the WBO, WBA and IBF belts off of the Ukrainian, back in November 2015, an age in which Tyson has been stripped of the IBF belt and seen Anthony Joshua’s rise to prominence after the Watford heavyweight took the IBF belt off of Prince Charles Martin.

However, at a press-conference this morning it has been confirmed that Fury and Klitschko will climb into the ring, for the re-match, on 29th October.

The fight will be staged at the Manchester Arena and Tyson’s manager and uncle, Peter Fury, has remarked about the fight,

'I'm delighted that we can finally get the fight back on. We can now focus on giving the fans what they deserve.”

It’s probably fair to say that in the original fight, in Dusseldorf, Wladimir Klitschko gave the worst performance of his professional career with the 40-year-old reluctant to engage in a brawl with Fury and also, strangely, being reticent to throw any punches at times, allowing Fury to dictate the pace of the fight and pinch the rounds.

However, the Ukrainian is determined that will not be the case this time and has used the social network site Twitter, to tweet,

'Finally the rematch is fixed. I'll remedy my mistake on 29 October at Manchester Arena. See you there.'

The countdown has begun, let’s hope both fighters can avoid any injuries that might jeopardise the bout a second time.
