'If It's Boxing, It's Vital'

Hearn Confirms Joshua v Klitschko at Wembley

The dust had barely settled on another emphatic Anthony Joshua win, this time with the IBF champion stopping Eric Molina, before Eddie Hearn grabbed the ring microphone to make an announcement.

Hearn confirmed what many people, over the past few weeks had suspected, Joshua’s next defence of his IBF title would be against Wladimir Klitschko, at Wembley Stadium on 29th April.

The fight will be watched live by 80,000+ spectators and a world-wide TV audience as Joshua goes down the unification route.

Talking about this next step in his career, a huge next step, Joshua remarked,

'This is the step-up people have wanted.

'Klitschko wants his belts back and may the best man win.'

As for the fighter who lost his titles to Tyson Fury and who hasn’t boxed again since, Klitschko had this to say,

'He is the best man in the division and the excitement speaks for itself.

'This is what the fans want and this fight must happen.

'AJ did his job. I'm happy he won, that was my wish. There is no other fight to do but this one between us.

'I was watching, observing, making my notes. I'm really looking forward to this fight. I am a fan of his talent, he can unify the division and be a great champion.

'My guns are cocked. They've been cocked for a year. Nothing personal, but its business. “

It’s a mouth-watering fight and I’m counting down the days until 29th April already.
