Joshua Given Green Light for US

It’s been mentioned before that a previous misdemeanour might affect Anthony Joshua’s chances of boxing in, or even visiting, the good old US of A.

Back in February 2011, Joshua was convicted of a drug related crime, something that prohibits entrance to the US.

However, lifestyles and circumstances change and as the current holder of the IBF world heavyweight title and, at some point, it seems logical that Joshua will be called upon to fight in the US.

But it appears that Joshua has grasped the bull by the horns and ventured down to the US Embassy, in London, to pave the way for his career to develop in the US.

The popular heavyweight spent a long day at the US Embassy and it seems as if a positive outcome was reached with Joshua remarking to the media,

“I had long meetings about my visa. I had to go to the embassy like everyone else, queue up and wait around all day. It was a long day.

“We got there, now my dream is to defend my title in Las Vegas.”

Could that be against the WBC champion Deontay Wilder, sometime later this year?
